What to Consider When Choosing an Apartment if you have a Child?

If you have a child, then you need to choose an apartment for growth. Children aged 2, 7, 13 and 17 are different people with completely different needs and interests. How, then, to choose an apartment so as not to regret it in a few years?

Even if the budget for the purchase is limited, then with an accurate calculation it is quite possible to find a comfortable home with an eye to the future.

Convenient apartment layout

Let not from birth, but over time, the child will need personal space. Ideally, your own room.

If you are considering the option of a 2- or 3-room apartment, the issue of a separate room is resolved by itself.

If you choose a one-room apartment, then it is desirable that there are 2 windows. Then it will be possible to zone the space, make redevelopment and allocate a separate children’s room. Do not make it too closed to constantly be able to monitor the child.

At every age, the child has its own needs that parents need to reckon with. Preschool children need a play area – a safe place to play and develop. It is worth considering the design of the room, the absence of dangerous objects that can harm the baby.

A schoolchild, in addition to a sleeping place, already needs a desk, a table lamp, shelves for storing books and textbooks. At this age, the child has new hobbies and hobbies.

Be ready for constant changes and accept them with the wisdom of an adult – today the child adores his carriage bed, and tomorrow Cinderella has grown up.

But the senior classes are the first need to create a separate room or zone. It is important for a child to have a personal space, separate from adults – his own bedroom, workplace. Otherwise, he will not have enough freedom and comfort at home, and he will want to spend most of his time somewhere else.

Keep in mind that every year the mountain of clothes, shoes, toys will grow exponentially. Sleds, skis, scooters, skateboards – these are all important stages of growth and development that need to be stored somewhere. And in order for all these things not to fill the common living room, kitchen or corridor, you just need to take care of the built-in wardrobes, wardrobes and the balcony.

Floor

For families with small children, an apartment in the Commodore Canberra on the second or third floor will be the best choice. Yes, there is an elevator, but sometimes it breaks down, and you need to walk with the children every day. And not every elevator is convenient to dive with a child in your arms, toys and a stroller.

Entrance

Check if there is a special ramp for lifting the stroller. And if at the entrance there is a hall for storing a stroller and a bicycle, this is a huge plus that you will definitely appreciate over time.

The presence of a number of kindergartens, schools, hospitals

Yes, this is corny, but still we repeat: the presence of nearby kindergartens, schools and clinics, shops, proximity to stops and metro stations is fundamentally important.

Every day you have to buy groceries, take your children to kindergarten, meet from school, and sometimes visit a doctor. So let at least this not be a problem.

Playground in the yard

There must be a playground in the courtyard and a park for walking nearby. But remember that children grow up, so check in advance if there is a playground with exercise equipment, a stadium, development centres, sections and an art school nearby.

For teenagers, it is important that a cafe, a cinema, a shopping centre are located within walking distance. They will still go there someday without you, so it’s better if all this is near.

And most importantly – do not rush to choose an apartment. Think about the comfort of all members of your family, weigh the pros and cons, and only then make a purchase decision.
